The Ghana Premier League continues across the length and breadth of the country with interesting fixtures in the first week after the 2025-26 season kicked off on September 12, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, where Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw against Hohoe United.
The 2024-25 Ghana Premier League winners, Bibiani Gold Stars, will start their new season campaign against Bechem United at their home ground, Duns Park, in the opening fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
The Western North-based club, Bibiani Gold Stars, has been busy in the just-ended transfer window, recruiting players to bolster their squad after winning their first league title. Here are some of Bibiani Gold Stars' signings ahead of the 2025/26 season:

Coach Stephen Frimpong Manso aims to defend the title and add to the trophy cabinet in the team's history. Bibiani Gold Stars emerged as the winners of the 2025 GHALCA Top Four Tournament, which ended at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, alongside Hearts of Oak, Heart of Lions, and Asante Kotoko.
Meanwhile, Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway has been appointed as the new head coach of Bechem United for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Bechem United aims to build on their mid-table finish and push for a stronger performance in the upcoming season.
After the departures of some key players, including goalkeeper Haruna Aziz Dari, Francis Acquah, and Seth Kwadwo, all of whom were transferred to Kotoko, and Mohammed Aminu, a second striker who is no longer with the club, core members of the team remain, including Benjamin Asiedu, Isaiah Nyarko, Kofi Tompuo, Emmanuel Abban, and Yaw Acheampong.
The Hunters have acquired experienced players to strengthen their squad, including former Ghana youth and Manchester City player Aminu Mohammed, Augustine Okrah, Frank Amankwah, Emmanuel Ampiah, Kaba Raymond Agyemang, Abdul Basit Mohammed, goalkeeper Dennis Votere, and Nigerian striker Frank Promise.
Bechem United finished in 10th position with 47 points in the 2024/25 season in the Ghana Premier League.
