Ghana thrashed the Central African Republic 5-0 in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Stade d'Honneur in Meknes, Morocco, on Wednesday.
The Black Stars dominated from the start, with several players making key contributions. Mohammed Salisu put Ghana ahead in the 20th minute, scoring from a Mohammed Kudus corner kick.
The Black Stars doubled their lead in the 52nd minute, with Thomas Partey scoring a stunning goal assisted by Jordan Ayew, as they came back strong after the break.

Ghana is on the cusp of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, currently topping Group I with 22 points, three points clear of Madagascar in second place, after their impressive 5-0 win over the Central African Republic.
Ghana will conclude their qualifying campaign against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12 2025.
