Kumasi Asante Kotoko emerged 1:0 victorious over Bibiani Gold Stars in the 2025 Champion of Champions.

Kotoko redeemed their image against league winners Bibiani Gold Stars with a slim win at Dun's Park, after losing to their opponents in the GHALCA Top Four in Accra at the University of Ghana Stadium the previous week by a 2:1 margin.

The two sides created decent chances in the first half with numerous shots on goal, but the deadlock remained unbroken.

In the second half, Bibiani Gold Stars had strong incursions, lifting their momentum and resisting pressure from the Kotoko attackers.

However, Kumasi Asante Kotoko broke the deadlock when substitute Hamzata Musah connected with Seth Kwadwo's flicked cross into the bottom corner of the goal on the 68th minute.

The sole goal crowned Kumasi Asante Kotoko the winners of the 2025 Champion of Champions at Dun's Park, leaving the Gold Stars team and fans devastated.

Asante Kotoko has won the Champion of Champions title on five occasions: 1977, 2012,2013 , 2024 and 2025.

Today marks a significant milestone for Asante Kotoko as the club celebrates its 90th anniversary, having been founded on August 31,1935.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko boasts an impressive collection of 127 all-time trophies , including ceremonial and memorial cups, since its founding on August 31, 1935.

Coach Abdul Karim Zito (Asante Kotoko) has guided the club to win four trophies since his return:

- 2025 Champion of Champions

- 2025 President's Cup

- 2025 Toyota Cup in South Africa

- 2025 MTN FA Cup

The most successful clubs are Hearts of Oak, with 7 wins, and Asante Kotoko, with 5 wins.
