KARELA UNITED'S UNBEATEN RUN ENDS IN 4-1 DEFEAT TO HOHOE UNITED

Hohoe United secured a 4-1 win over Karela United at the Hohoe Sports Stadium in Week Four of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, October 5, 2025. 

Hohoe United picked up their first win in the 2025-26 league campaign after a convincing performance at their home ground in Hohoe. 

The visitors, Karela United, tasted their first defeat of the season after a string of brighter performances in their previous games.

William Oduro broke the deadlock for the hosts with the match opener in the 19th minute. Before the break, captain Safianu Osman doubled the lead for Hohoe United on the 35th minute, bringing joy to the stadium. 

Karela United was awarded a penalty in the 75th minute, which Bless Ege converted brilliantly to pull one back for the visitors.

Safianu Osman extended the lead for Hohoe United with a brace in the 79th minute. Sena Ati wrapped up the game with the fourth goal for the hosts in the 88th minute. 

Alkassim M Haruna of Hohoe United was voted the MVP in the game 

Hohoe United sits in 9th position with five points, and Karela United occupies 5th position with seven points after Matchday Four of the Ghana Premier League.
