BEREKUM CHELSEA CLAMS FIRST WIN OF SEASON WITH 2-0 VICTORY OVER BASAKE HOLY STARS

Berekum Chelsea grabbed all three points following a 2-0 win at home against Basake Holy Stars in the Matchday Four fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, October 5, 2025. 

This marked their first win of the season after losing two of their previous games, with one outstanding against reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars at Duns Park.

Goals from Prince Anane and Faisal Shaibu were enough for the Berekum lads to pick up their first three points of the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League. 

Prince Anane opened the scoring after 42 minutes to give the hosts the lead and also score their first goal of the campaign. 

Faisal Shaibu cemented the lead for Berekum Chelsea in the 48th minute, and they saw out the rest of the game.

Kwesi Sorortu Badori of Berekum Chelsea was awarded Man of the Match after being instrumental and effective in the game. 

Berekum Chelsea climbed from the bottom to 13th position with three points on the Ghana Premier League table following their win over Basake Holy Stars, while Holy Stars lies 16th with 2 points.
