GPL WEEK 2: HEART OF LIONS TRIUMPH 4-1 OVER TECHIMAN ELEVEN WONDERS

Techiman Eleven Wonders suffered a 4-1 hammering defeat to Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League Week 2 fixture at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The visitors, Heart of Lions, broke the deadlock courtesy of Paul Attah Agyei in the 23rd minute. 

Liberian import Chauncy Freeman doubled the lead in the 25th minute for Heart of Lions, assisted by Ishmael Addo. The two goals were enough for Heart of Lions before the break. 

Eleven Wonders had control over the game during the second half, and Kofi Asamoah pulled one back for the home side, Techiman Eleven Wonders, in the 75th minute. 

Ishmael Addo scored his goal of the match in the 86th minute to make it 3-1 for Heart of Lions. 

Substitute Kojo Kuma wrapped up the game with the fourth goal for the visitors, Heart of Lions, assisted by Etse Dogli in the 90th minute.

Etse Dogli from Heart of Lions earned the NASCO Man of the Match award.

Techiman Eleven Wonders suffered their first league defeat after opening the season with a goalless draw. They currently sit in 12th place with one point from two games.

Heart of Lions has extended its unbeaten streak in the Ghana Premier League after Match Day 2. Heart of Lions currently sits in second place in the league standings after two games.

In the upcoming Week 3 fixture of the Ghana Premier League, Techiman Eleven Wonders will head to Accra to take on Hearts of Oak, while Heart of Lions will host Bechem United at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
