GPL WEEK 2: YOUNG APOSTLES RESCUE POINT IN 1-1 DRAW AGAINST HOHOE UNITED

Hohoe United held Young Apostles to a 1-1 draw in the Ghana Premier League Week 2 fixture at the Hohoe Sports Stadium. 

The first half ended goalless, with both teams failing to break the deadlock.

Hohoe United grabbed the match opener courtesy of Abass Ganiu in the 47th minute, marking the club's first Premier League home goal of the season. 

The home team fans enjoyed a moment of celebration, but Young Apostles wasn't asleep and kept pressing for an early equalizer. Despite Hohoe United's determined defense, they couldn't hold on to their lead.

In the second half, Hohoe United continued to create scoring opportunities, but it was Young Apostles who eventually equalized. Substitute Richard Opoku leveled the game in the 74th minute for the visitors.

Both teams earned one point each from the draw, which saw them share the points. Hohoe United's Usman Safianu was awarded the NASCO Man of the Match.

The newly promoted side, Hohoe United, remains winless after two games, drawing both matches, and occupies 7th position with 2 points. 

Young Apostles are also winless, having lost one and drawn one, and sit 11th on the league standings with 1 point.

In the upcoming Week 3 fixture, Hohoe United will travel to take on Vision FC, while Young Apostles will welcome Dreams FC at home.
