HEART OF LIONS MAINTAIN PERFECT RECORD WITH 1-0 WIN OVER BECHEM UNITED

Heart of Lions grabbed a 1-0 victory over Bechem United at the Kpando Sports Stadium in Match Day 3 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday. 

Heart of Lions recorded their second win at home in the season, following a similar margin against Dreams FC at home in Week One. 

Heart of Lions maintains a 100% unbeaten record and has yet to drop a point in their three games played in the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League season. 

An assist by Samuel Boamah Quansah led to Michael Ephson’s decisive strike in the 59th minute, which proved the difference, sending Bechem United back home without a point in their two away games in the season. 

Lions midfielder Samuel Boamah Quansah was voted for the MVP award for his performance.

Heart of Lions tops the standings with 9 points after three games, while Bechem United sits 15th with one point. 

Heart of Lions will travel to Kumasi to face Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and Bechem United will host Hearts of Oak in Bechem in the Week Four fixtures on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
