ROAD TO BABA YARA STADIUM:ASHANTI REGION SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES FOOTBALL QUALIFIERS KICK OFF

The 2025/26 Ashanti Region Schools and Colleges Football Qualifiers kicked off at eight different venues within the Ashanti Region, starting on Thursday, 27th November – 2nd December, 2025.

The eight venues are selected school parks within the region, namely Owass, Armed Forces, Okess, Kumaca, Super Kass, Prempeh College, Kumasi Girls, and OLAG.

After day one of the qualifiers, eight schools have booked their tickets to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the upcoming tournament proper, which will feature 32 schools and colleges.

Kumasi Anglican SHS, the 2024 champions, secured qualification with ease at the Prempeh College qualifier venue, winning all three matches and topping the four schools. Sakafia SHS finished top of Group 1 at the Armed Forces school park, while in Group 2 at Opoku Ware School park, Adventist SHS, Kumasi, shocked Obuasi SHTS to secure a spot in the final 32 schools.

Here are the eight qualified schools:

- Group 1: Sakafia SHS

- Group 2: Adventist SHS, Kumasi

- Group 3: Beposo SHS

- Group 4: Ejisuman SHS

- Group 5: St. Hubert Sem. SHS

- Group 6: Bosome SHTS

- Group 7: Kumasi Anglican SHS

- Group 8: Our Lady of Grace SHS
