SPARTAK MOSCOW NEARS SIGNING OF GHANAIAN DEFENDER ALEXANDER DJIKU FROM FENERBAHCE

Russian top-flight side Spartak Moscow has reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe to sign defender Alexander Djiku.
FACTSGH.COM can confirm the Ghanaian defender is currently in Russia finalizing his transfer move to Spartak Moscow before the transfer deadline.
Fenerbahçe is expected to earn around €5 million in transfer fees from this transfer.
The 31-year-old defender has one year left on his contract, which expires on June 30, 2026. On July 10, 2023, Djiku signed a three-year contract with Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe for a free transfer.
Alexander Djiku has been left out of the 24-man squad named by Black Stars head coach Otto Addo for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad on September 4, 2025.
Djiku spent his youth career at Bastia, playing for the reserve team until 2014.
He made his debut in a Coupe de la Ligue match against Évian on December 18, 2013.
Djiku has played for Bastia, Caen, and Strasbourg in the French Ligue 1.
The center-back has played 64 games in all competitions with 4 goals for Fenerbahçe since 2023 to date.
