BLACK STARS COMMENCE TRAINING WITH 12 PLAYERS FOR 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIES

The senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, commenced its first training session today at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the two crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier games. 

The training session took place at the Accra Sports Stadium this evening with 12 players led by team captain Jordan Ayew.

The list of players is as follows:

4. Joseph Anang
5. Christopher Bonsu Baah
6. Benjamin Asare
7. Jonas Adjetey
8. Ibrahim Osman
9. Ibrahim Sulemana

11. Jordan Ayew
12. Gideon Mensah

Ghana currently tops Group I in the African Qualifiers with 15 points after five wins and one loss from six matches. 

The Black Stars face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025. 

The team will hold its final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday before flying to N'Djamena.
