MEDEAMA'S UNBEATEN START TO SEASON ENDS IN 1-0 DEFEAT TO KARELA UNITED

By: Isaac Amponsah (Dr Ike) and Aaron Kintoh

Karela United piped Medeama SC to a 1-0 win in a Week Three fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the Tamale Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors' Medeama's dominance in possession and chances ultimately counted for nothing as Felix Mortu's 79th-minute strike proved the difference, netting the winning goal.

Building on their narrow escape from relegation last term, Karela United, also known as "The Pride and Passion," have maintained their unbeaten record, defying expectations once again.

Karela Zaidan Mohammed was voted MVP for his outstanding performance.

Medeama SC suffered their first loss of the season and conceded their first goal.

Karela United climbed to second place with seven points, and Medeama SC slipped to fourth position with six points after Match Day Three.

Karela United will travel to Hohoe to play Hohoe United, while Medeama SC will battle it out against Nations FC at Tarkwa in the Week Four fixtures of the Ghana Premier League.
