BIBIANI GOLD STARS' CONTINENTAL DREAMS DASHED IN 7-0 AGGREGATE LOSS TO JS KABYLIE

Bibiani GoldStars' CAF Champions League debut came to an agonizing end with a devastating 5-0 thrashing at the hands of JS Kabylie in Tizi Ouzou.
GoldStars, already down 2-0 from the Accra leg, struggled to get off to a worse start as goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi's early own goal, mere minutes into the game, further complicated their quest.
JS Kabylie extended their lead to 2-0 when Ryad Boudebouz scored in the 29th minute, and Mehdi Merghem made it 3-0 with a second-half strike.
GoldStars' plight worsened when defender Emmanuel Ankrah was red-carded in the 60th minute, reducing the team to 10 men.
With GoldStars down to 10 men, Kabylie pounced on the advantage, Lahlou Akhrib netting four minutes later, and Oualid Maliki wrapping up the victory in stoppage time.
With a 7-0 aggregate loss, GoldStars' journey in the competition came to an abrupt end, ending their hopes of advancing further.
With their continental run ended, GoldStars will now refocus on their Ghana Premier League campaign, aiming to retain their title, as JS Kabylie moves on to the next round.
